I passed the glucose tolerance test, no gestational diabetes and no three hour test needed :) Slightly anemic, but I don't need an iron supplement at this point. Baby is doing great with a heart rate of 130 and he continues to kick away. Unfortunately the nausea is back with a little lightheadedness, but if baby is healthy it is well worth it. We are already seeing the doctor every two weeks vs. every month. The time is just flying by. Can't wait to be done with school and enjoy pregnancy for a little.
Bryan has of course been wonderful as I finish up my quarter in school. Getting me gifts to give my students and late night runs to the grocery store. Plus he has been doing lots of laundry and folding lately which he hates. The Christmas tree is up and the outside lights will go up this weekend. Our neighbors have gone all out, I don't think we even have a chance, but it is fun to come home to their lights and really feel the holiday spirit. We also volunteered at Figgy Puddy Caroling Competition last week which was a great start to the holiday season.
Until next time...
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

25 weeks, 3 days ... 103 more days to go!
Baby is growing fast and I feel like I am too:( According to BabyBump, he is estimated to be 1.5 lbs and 13.5 inches. The doctor said he is growing right on schedule and is healthy with a HR of 135. I was informed last week that the last three months tend to go by a little slower. Hoping that I can keep busy so time flies by and baby Estes will be here. We are hoping to get our kitchen finished up in the next two weeks and then it will be time to start on the nursery. We will start this weekend by researching cribs and Grandma wants to take us to Babies "R" Us. Yesterday I was blessed by a visit from my dear friend Carly who is due one month before me and is also expecting a baby boy. It was so much fun to have her around, so wish she lived closer!!

20 weeks, 2 days
Baby is looking good! The doc said we just need to keep doing what we're doing because so far all the numbers look perfect. Heartbeat is now 140 and all the test results from 18 weeks are normal :)

gifts, gifts and more gifts...
We are blessed with my sister's weekly hand-me-down gifts, but we are starting to get a little overwhelmed. The bassinet she gave us doesn't even fit in our bedroom door :) Nonetheless there are very few things we will need to purchase in preparation for the lil' guy... and Grandma has already started to fill the baby's closet with Nordy's attire. Next step... prepare the nursery, starting with a bed chair - a comfy chair that will open to a single bed for the nursery in case Grandma Estes or Grandma Denison want to stay over to help when baby arrives. Second will be the crib :) So many exciting things to look forward to.
Bassinet
he is a kicker...
I have been able to feel baby moving for four weeks now... started with little flutters and he has now advanced to powerful kicks. Bryan is now able to rest his hand on my tummy and feel baby's force which of course has led him to believe that baby is going to be a world class ultra marathoner. For me it is reassuring to know our little man is active in there.

18 wks, 2 days
Today was our second ultrasound.
Baby is healthy!!!
We almost walked away with only a picture of the baby's foot because he was facing away from the camera and doing head stands rather than looking at us. Luckily toward the end after doing pelvic exercises and lying on my side we were able to see his face.

Aloha!!
I couldn't have asked for a more perfect wedding! We are reviewing our wedding pictures now and I should have some posted shortly. From Maui we travelled to Kauai for our honeymoon. The weather has been terrific! We experienced the island from above on the Blue Hawaiian helicopter tour and we met many of Kauai's sea creatures while snorkeling today. I am not much of an ocean swimmer, but I enjoyed the turtles and whale watching. Only a couple days left and then back to reality.
See you soon!
